First, we'll make the cake base. Cover the cake pan with baking paper.
Briefly heat the butter in the pan (do ask an adult for help!) and mix the crumb base mix into it.
Now make the base of the cake at the bottom of the cake pan.
Press the base firmly with a spoon.
Tip! It's also very delicious to make the base with biscuits, Bastogne cookies, or ladyfingers.
Whip the cream until stiff. Now clean the hand mixer thoroughly and make it grease-free! This is important, or the cake might fail!
Mix the water and cake mix in a grease-free bowl. Beat for about 2 minutes until a smooth mousse forms.
Now add the quark and mix it well with the hand mixer (not on the highest setting and no longer than half a minute!).
Now fold the whipped cream in with a spatula and spread this mixture directly over the cake base.
Now the cake can go in the refrigerator for 4 hours to set.
After this, you can start decorating. Make a heart shape with the strawberry jam/pie filling and finish the edges with a thick border of spray cream!
Don't snack too much on the cream in between...
Tip! Of course, you can also use fresh strawberries instead of the pie filling or strawberry jam!
Now you can surprise your Valentine with this cake... enjoy!
Grease the baking pan with butter or oil using a piece of kitchen roll. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 160º C.
Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, a bit of salt, and grated lemon zest until smooth.
Now add the eggs one by one and beat well.
Add the cake flour all at once and mix well to a uniform batter.
Pour this batter into the baking pan and bake for about 60 minutes until golden brown.
The cake is done when a (knitting) needle comes out dry when you prick the thickest part.
Now let the cake cool. Decorate the cake with jam and powdered sugar.
Tip: If you cut the heart out of a large cake pan, you'll have enough cake left to make small cakes as well.
Enjoy!
Print the template and trace the hearts or print it directly on the colored paper.
Cut out the hearts.
In the example the hearts are double glued with the string in between.
If you do this and you hang the heart garland somewhere, it can turn around and you will see the hearts on both sides and not the string.
Print out the templates and trace them to cardstock.
Make 2 mouse steps for the legs from the 4 wide strips of paper.
A mouse step is made by placing two strips of paper with the ends straight on top of each other and then folding them over each other.
It then looks a bit like a harmonica.
Stick the hearts on the bottom of the mouse steps.
Now repeat this for the arms with the slightly less wide strips.
Make the body of the doll from the largest heart.
Stick the wobbly eyes on it and make the mouth of a small heart and stick this on as well.
Stick the mouse trap legs at the bottom of the heart and stick the mouse trap arms to the side of the heart.
Print the template and trace the hearts onto the paper or cardboard.
In some printers you can put slightly thicker paper.
This way you print the hearts directly on the paper which you can then cut immediately.
You only glue on half of the heart and that is how you stick them together in order of size.
When everything has dried well, you can fold the hearts a little inwards and that makes it a bit 3D.
Print out the template and trace it onto the cardboard.
After you have cut out the heart, make 2 holes with the perforator.
This allows you, carefully, to slide the straw.
On one side of the the end of the straw you stick a triangle from the cut and on the other side stick on the other side of the arrow.
Print out the template and trace it to a paper plate.
Cut it out.
You can then make a small hole in the middle of the heart and then cut the heart out.
Now make with the punch little holes around the heart.
With a needle and thread you can now thread from the top hole to the bottom hole.
Decorate the edge of the plate with hearts.
Print out the template and trace it to cardboard.
Cover the toilet rolls with paper and stick the wiggle eyes and the nose on top.
Stick the large hearts as wings on the back of the roll.
Make the feelers from the chenille wire and put a heart on the top of the chenille wire and stick it to the inside of the toilet rolls.
