Tina (official mascot of the Olympic Winter Games 2026)

Material:

Werkwijze:

Print the template. If you print the template twice, you'll have one to use as a mold and one to glue on.
From cream cardstock, cut out her legs, arms, tail, and head. Glue this onto your example. You can cover her nose and the inside of her ears with cardstock or color them in with markers. From felt, make her scarf. Again, use the template version of Tina. On the scarf, glue the flag of Italy. Make this from a small piece of white cardstock where you attach a strip of green and a strip of red cardstock. You can also draw the logo of the Olympic Games on her belly.

Please be careful with the scissors! Or have an adult assist with cutting and using the printer.

Print the template. Look closely at the example to see which parts of the template you need to trace in which color.
Attach the head to the body.
Cut small strips like waves from the yellow paper and glue them onto the head and feet. Draw the arms on the body with a black marker.
Make the face and hat from the white paper.
This can be easily cut out from the template.
Once glued, let it dry completely.
Make the eyes with the black marker.

Materials:

Instructions:

Print the template and refer to the example to see which part you need to trace in which color.
Attach the legs to the body and glue on the eyes, nose, and ears. Complete the eyes with the wobbly eyes.
Use a red marker to create the mouth.
Now you can draw an oval around the face with the different markers.
Finish by drawing the Olympic rings on the stomach.

Olympic Rings made from paper plates

Materials:

Instructions:

Put a little of each color on the 5 small plates.
Cut the bottom out of the plates and paint the edges with a brush or your finger in the aforementioned 5 colors.
This will give you a blue, red, black, green, and yellow plate without edges.
Let it dry well.
You have already made a cut to remove the bottom, and now you need to close it again by threading the plate edges together and taping them shut.

Olympic Ring Banner

Materials:

Instructions:

Place the papers on top of each other and fold strips about 3 cm wide.
Then cut along the fold line.
This will give you 8 strips in the five Olympic colors.
Glue the first blue strip closed, then thread the black one through and glue it shut, followed by a red, a green, and finally a yellow one.
Then continue with blue and so on with the other colors until you finish with a green one.
If you want a longer banner, you will need more sheets to repeat the process.

Olympic Rings Stamped from Toilet Rolls

Materials:

Instructions:

Put a small amount of each color on the 5 small plates.
Dip each empty toilet roll into each color.
Look closely at the example and arrange the plates in the correct order to make stamping easier.
Make sure there is paint on the edge all around.
Now stamp with the different colors onto the white paper.
You can decorate it in your own way.
You can also use a larger sheet of paper and stamp the entire paper.
Let it dry completely.

Olympic Cheer Hands

Materials:

Instructions:

Find pictures of the flags of the countries participating in the games.
Look on the Internet to find enough pictures of flags.
Or draw flags and color them in.
Trace your hand on a piece of paper and then trace it onto the flags.
Create a sort of garland by gluing your cut-out hands together at an angle.

Medal olympic medals - crafting during the olympic games

Materials:

Instructions:

Cut a circle out of the silver cardboard about 10 cm in diameter. You can use a small plate to trace around.
Then cut the numbers (two 2s for the silver medal) out of the black cardboard. Glue them to both sides of the circle.
Make a hole in the circle with the hole punch.
Cut a strip of crepe paper and twist it. Make it long enough to hang comfortably around your neck. Pass the crepe paper through the hole in the silver circle, and your medal is complete.
To complete the look, you can also use gold cardboard for the first prize and brown cardboard for the third prize.
For variety, you can replace the crepe paper with a piece of ribbon. You can also make the numbers on the medals in a different attractive color.

Podium podium - crafting during the olympic games

Materials:

Instructions:

Draw three cubes on (for example) yellow cardboard. One cube with sides of 10 cm, one of 8 cm, and one of 6 cm. Perhaps someone who has drawn a cube before can help you.
Then draw a large 1, a smaller 2, and an even smaller 3 on black paper and cut out these three numbers.
Glue the 1 onto the largest cube, the 2 onto the smaller one, and the 3 onto the smallest cube.
Finally, glue the large cube in the center of a colored piece of paper. Then place the 2 left next to it (a bit silly) and the 3 right next to it (even sillier).

Olympic Rings

Olympic rings - crafting during the olympic games

Materials:

Instructions:

First, trace the large plate onto white paper. Then take the small plate and place it in the center of the large circle. Trace this plate as well, so you get a ring. Cut this out. This will give you a template of a ring, which you can then use to draw the Olympic rings and cut them out from the various colors of cardboard. Once you have cut out the five rings, glue them onto the white paper. Try to ensure that the rings just touch each other. Otherwise, check the website of the NOC-NSF to see what they look like in real life.
You can also glue the Dutch flag made of long, thin strips of red and blue cardboard underneath, so you get the NOC-NSF logo. You already have white paper where you glued the Olympic rings, so you don't need to make the white part of the flag.
Finally, you can write NOC-NSF underneath with a black felt-tip pen.
