In the Netherlands there are a number of national official days off. Below is an overview of these days.
Most days off are Christian holidays, such as Easter, Pentecost and Christmas. There are also real Dutch holidays, such as King's Day and Liberation Day.
These days are the legal days off. It does not mean that people definitely have a day off. This depends on the employment contract with the employer.

In addition to these official days off, there are a number of school holidays. Sometimes schools are allowed to deviate from this. A number of holidays are staggered to avoid crowds.
